It's been a while indeed. But I won't bore you with busy at work, steve's visit for the great Interpol show, the discovery of a golf driving range near my house, going to the Bernabeu to see Real Madrid beat Mallorca 4-3, the shock conclusion of Supermodelos 2007 on Spain's channel 4 (as if Noelia (dark hair) was better than Alba(blonde)), the impending trip of Senor Mac and the prospect of saturday night's Two Gallants concert, an unfortunate vomit episode, yet another massive demonstration against the government and their dealings with ETA, the worrying emergence of National Front posters around Madrid, the joy of my Spanish work-colleagues at England's footballing demise. No. I'll use this post to show support to Liverpool Manager Rafa Benitez, who despite reaching two Champions League finals in three years and overseeing a side unbeaten in the league, remarkably finds his job underthreat from the club's new American Owners. To mis-quote Peter Kay creation 'Softy Top' "Football's on it's Arse".
