Take a Hike



I spent Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday up in the north-east of spain walking the first few stages of the Camino de Santiago.  Well worth it, although I don't think my knees agree. Some photos below.

Chillax



Somerandom updates...

After what has apparantly been the wettest May in Spain since 1971, the sun appears to be finally getting its act together and showing its face - which is a winner, and means the open-air swimming pools should be opening up soon. 

The end of the football season saw the work at Real Madrid wind down a bit, but some bits and pieces for National Geographic have kept things ticking over.

I finally bowed to pressure and bought a guitar, the as yet unamed Fender had a test-run last night and handled everything thrown at it superbly.

Spain is trying to get excited about the European championships, but I think they are more ready for more disappointment.  They got booed throughout their last friendly (a 1-0 win over USA) and it looks to melike Fernando Torres has died his hair ginger.

A friend of mine went to Primavera festival in Barcelona last weekend and the line-up looked awesome. Plans are already underway to attend next year. I didn't know that Buffalo Tom were still together.  I've also revisted Corcrane Secret by Polvo -what a piece of work.

Seen a bunch of pretty good films recently: Be kind: Rewind. Iron Man. What Happens in Vegas (which wasn't bad) and Lars and the Real Girl -with Ryan Gosling putting in yet another killer performance, that's four from four, for those films I've seen him in -strange to think he used to keep company with britney, cristina and justin on the disney club.

Finally, I will be in London from June 18th for a few weeks - hope to catch up with some people.
