Today I shall be mostly...
finally listening to the Black Mountain album by the pool whilst playing with Bea's new camera before playing a gig tonight to which no-one is going to turn up as it's a public holiday here.

Summercase
38 degrees here. Too hot to give a comprensive review of last weekend's Summercase festival near Madrid - so here's a (Top 5) excerpt from an email sent to our kid earlier today:
5. Ian Brown (and Mani for three Roses numbers)
4. Cadence Weapon (infront of about 20 people)
3. Blondie (just the hits)
2. Foals (got the biggest dance out of me)
1. Cornelius (mad mad mad)
hot and quite pricey, but the rum n cokes lived up to spanish standards.

London done
That went quick. Starting with a Spanish Euro Cup triumph and ending with the never disappointing My Morning Jacket (
and working inbetween of course). Great to catch up with friends and family members. Special thanks to the Hunt Brothers who laid out the usual Oxtoby hospitality and philosophy. Nice one. See you all soon.

roadkill
Not even some murderous drumming could save them. Sound problems and a bizarre support act (representing new genre 'Bongo Dance') meant Frightened Rabbit didn't quite live up to the awesomeness of their latest album last night at Madame JoJos. Won't be hurrying back to that venue.
