that was the week that rocked
A good week all in all. After the initial disappointment of having to miss Liverpool's game with Atletico Madrid , wednesday nights gig at La Boite went down well. Sharing the bill were Madrid youngsters and allround good guys Bleach as well as the lively
12 Dolls from Valencia - much fun had by all. Thanks to
Javi the promoter.
Slowly moving out of my edit suite and integrating myself with my work colleagues, scored a hit with a piece of work taking the piss out of Dennis Quaid in Dragonheart (4 out of 10). Finished reading David Simon's Homicide and have now written a Wire inspired track which will be getting first rehearsals soon. Second league game of the season today for my footy team - last week's 2-0 defeat wasn't a bad start as we look to beat last season's total of 4 points. Then later, Muxloe shall be paying a visit than will no doubt include a visit to the Chamartin Bowling lanes, as well as hopefully a trip to the Bernabeu on Sunday to see Real play Bilbao.
Cold, but clear. Out.

Happier Rabbit
I'm glad to report that Frightened Rabbit were back on form last night, rocking out most of (my current album of the year front runner) Midnight Organ Fight as well as the hits from 2006's Sing the Greys. They seemed a lot happier than the last time I saw them at Madame JoJos, although i think they fell victim to the incredibly high 19€ entrance fee, as not many people were there to watch. Should maybe have a word with their promoters

More Wire
I know updates have been on short supply and when they have appeared, they largely contain info about my band or if not something to do with The Wire. So, not to disappoint: Wire fans...if you are not already onto it, get involved with series creator, David Simon's epic
"Homicide: a Year on the Killing Streets" 600+ pages that plays out like a lost series. Addictive stuff.
